No, but it is not recommended that anyone under 16 uses the SnR. You should also only take your scooter near a roadway if you are familiar with traffic regulations.

Do I have to wear a crash helmet?

We strongly recommend that you wear a helmet when riding any scooter.

Is the SnR suitable for invalids?

The SnR2 is a Pre-Mobility scooter. This means it is designed for people who may be finding that their agility and walking ability is not what it used to be, and people who have started getting mobility problems, but not for people who are severely restricted in their ability to walk.

The SnR (tall tiller) version is targeted at the warehouse, school, patrol type environment, or for recreational use. It is envisaged that people with mobility problems would be better suited to the smaller tiller SnR2.

How long does it take to dismantle/assemble the scooter?

It takes about a minute to dismantle the scooter to put it into your car boot. Putting it back together again takes less than two minutes.

Can I ride on the road?

Transport NZ guidelines state that you should keep off the road whenever possible, e.g if there is a pavement or walkway. You should take extra care if you have to travel on the road for short distances.

Can I ride the SnR on grass etc?
